Cameroon wins Malawi in AFCON 2019 qualifications

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have picked a narrow 1-0 win against a defiant Malawian side.

Cameroon’s Eric Choupo-Moting, who plays for the French side, PSG, scored the goal that won the game, that marked Clarence Seedorf’s first win for Cameroon since becoming the coach of the Indomitable Lions.

Cameroon will be hosting the AFCON 2019. Although, the west African nation’s dreams of hosting the games have faced uncertainty, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) president Ahmed Ahmed cleared the doubts when he visited Cameroon last month. Declaring Cameroon is still the host of AFCON 2019 games.

The AFCON 2019 is scheduled to take place in Cameroon between June and July 2019. 24 countries will be competing in the games for the first time.
