Washington (National Times) – Henri ETOUNDI ESSOMBA, Cameroon’s Ambassador to the US has announced the return of the Embassy Staff to the old premise after relocating to another premise for renovation purposes.
“The Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon hereby informs the general public that the services of the Embassy of Cameroon in Washington, D.C. are being moved into their original and permanent building located at: 2349 Massachusetts Ave N.W. Washington, D.C. 20008” a statement signed by the Ambassador was published on the Embassy’s website yesterday, 10th January.
“Dear Cameroonians and the public at large, while wishing you the best for the year 2019, we look forward to receiving you for service as from the 3rd of January 2019. Our telephones, website and our working hours remain the same” the statement added.
Reports circulated last year that the Embassy was forced to leave the premise after failing to pay their rents. From the Embassy’s statement the relocation was for renovation purposes.
It is not clear what features of the Embassy received the current face-lifts. National Times has contacted the Embassy for Comments.
