Biya grants 3 days official funeral to billionaire political ally

A three days official funeral which President Paul Biya of Cameroon ordered for his long time political ally, business magnate and billionaire, Kadji Defosso ends ended yesterday, September 15 as the deceased is buried in his native Bana in the Haut Nkam Division, West Region of Cameroon.

The Head of State had ordered for a three days official funeral ceremony for the deceased in honour of his contribution to nation building. Celebrations in this light sparked off in Douala on Thursday September 13.

At the Requiem Mass in Douala, the Archbishop of Douala, His Grace Samuel Kleda, prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased in the bosom of the Lord.

Cameroon’ Senate President, Marcel Niat Njifenji, personal representative of the Head of State alongside a host of Cabinet Ministers, business magnates and well-wishers answered present.

Kadji who slept in the Lord at the age of 95 is a long time political partner of the Biya regime. He was the current Mayor of the Bana Municipality on the ticket of Biya’s CPDM party.

Just last May 20, the business magnet received one of Cameroon’s most prestigious medals of honour from the Head of State. The Littoral Governor, Samuel Ivaha Diboua, led a delegation to the Douala home of the billionaire to conduct the decoration ritual.
