There is total confusion at Campaign Street Buea after the discovery of the mortal remains of two unarmed civilians, perforated by bullets.
The act, according to inhabitants of Street 2, Buea was committed by Cameroon security officers in the early hours of today, Monday, September 24, 2018.
The two slain civilians are a vegetable oil vendor and a taxi driver.
An eye witness said the incident happened few minutes after a military truck drove passed him. “I was carrying water down stairs this morning when I saw a military truck descending. Few minutes after, I heard gun shots but I thought the military were shooting in the air, then I heard people crying and I went out and saw two corpses. The boys shot are all boys from the quarter,” the eye witness narrated.
The National Times has learnt that one of those killed is Emmanuel Ndam, while the other is yet to be identified.
It should be noted that every Monday has been declared by the Ambazonia Interim Government as a ghost town day in all the towns and villages in the two English-speaking Regions.
The Ambazonia Interim Government had cautioned all in the restive areas to stay indoors with no circulation of buses and taxis.
