Gunmen Dare Cameroon’s Opposition Leader Fru Ndi, Kidnap Relative

Bamenda (National Times)-A relative of Cameroon’s opposition leader John Fru Ndi  is still trapped in the hiding of abductors  after he went missing reportedly from the  latter’s ranch in Bafut, Mezam Division of the North West Region in the course of Friday April 19th.

Kingsley Azeh Ndi is said to be the Junior brother of the opposition politician. His abductors are said to have ferried him to the unknown after  reportedly monitoring his activities on the ranch of his elder brother.

The Ndi’s spent the entire Easter without their brother. As at the time of processing this piece early Monday April 22, there had been no development in relation to Azeh’s whereabouts. There have been no reports of request for ransom from the kidnappers.

Reports hold that, it is not the first time unknown gunmen are abducting Azeh. His abduction seems to be an affront to the opposition politician. Fru Ndi has in repeated outings maintained that, some members within the Biya regime are running counter separatists’ camps.

In October 2018, the sister of the same politician  Christina Fri Akum was abducted in his native village.  She was later released after spending days in the unknown. Fru Ndi’s home in his Baba II  village also suffered arson in the same October of 2018. The authors of that attack also looted property.
