Victims Of Anglophone Crisis Perish In Road Crash

Douala (National Times)-Two youngsters viz A. Maurice and Remi Acha  both displaced from the restive North West Region and Fongo Sub Division, West Region of Cameroon within the context of the Anglophone crisis perished  in a road  accident at the Bonaberi neighbourhood of Douala at nightfall Tuesday April 30th.

Eyewitnesses narrated that, the duo died at the scene of the accident after  a collision between truck and another vehicle. One of the victims who was earning a living through commercial  bike riding. One of the bodies was  disfigured as a bike was damaged beyond repair  following the accident.

Other victims of the same accident incurred minor injuries and were rushed to health facilities for medical attention. The remains of the displaced persons were ferried to the Bonasama hospital mortuary in the same metropolis.

Relatives and acquaintances of the deceased wailed helplessly as they rushed to the scene of the accident  to confirm their identities.

Remi Acha,  is said to have moved  from his native Ambo village in Batibo Sub Division following  the hostile  atmosphere  in the area since the Anglophone crisis went deadly.

Maurice on his part  is said to have relocated from Fongo Tongo Sub Division on the fringes with the restive Lebialem Division in the South West  to survive persistent  suspected separatists’ incursions.
