Gunmen shoot GSS Agborkem Principal for crusading for school resumption

Mamfe(National Times)-Gunmen suspected to be elements of the Abamzonia Defence Forces (ADF) have fired at the Principal of Government Secondary School (GSS) Agborkem  in Mamfe, Manyu Division of the South West Region of Cameroon as he attempted to drum for school resumption.

Agbor Tabe was shot on the leg in the hours of Thursday October 25, as he went on campus to heighten moves towards school resumption.

The National Times gathered that, Agbor was fired and abandoned in pains.

The suspected separatists who carried the act are quoted as having warned the tutor to refrain from any action geared towards ensuring school resumption. They are said to have promised to kill him if he ventures with ensuring school resumption. The principal who was left bleeding was reportedly ferried to Bamenda in the North West Region for emergency medical attention. Reports about his condition are still sketchy.

It is reported that, the principal had taken part in a shift of broadcast over a local radio station in Mamfe calling for school resumption. Early this week, the same principal is said to have been part of a meeting which the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO for Manyu, Joseph Oum II convened to prepare for school resumption.
