Sources have hinted the National Times that, Wednesday’s attack was the first attempt to test fortifications allegedly conducted by a native doctor imported from the unknown on the fighters for weeks. They are said to have gone to attack the military base on the instructions of the separatists’ god Field Marshall.
Reports hold that, the band of fighters penetrated the military base through the ceiling. One of them is said to have ordered the soldiers to surrender in anticipation to try the new powers from the native doctor.
The soldiers are said to have retaliated and so fighting erupted. In the fighting that ensued, General Eyikeh and three others are said to be the first casualties. Another fighter who escaped same Wednesday night after incurring injuries is reported to have died on Thursday. Then , there is the killing of another member of the same group in Dschang same Thursday March 21st.
Yesterday’s development appears to be the biggest loss for the separatists’ armed group in recent times. It comes after months of speculation over the whereabouts of the dreaded separatist lord Field Marshal.
In the meantime, General Eyikeh is said to be a former member of Cameroon’s elite force; the Batallion D’intervention Rapid (BIR). He is reported to have deserted the BIR force just like his leader Oliver Leke Foubenueh did same and adopted the name ‘Field Marshal’ under the separatists’ movement.
