Cameroonian born striker Clinton Njie has refuted claims made by Cameroon Football governing body (FECAFOOT) officials that he hosted two ladies in his hotel room prior to a friendly against Burkina Faso.
The International striker Clinton Njie says he will use every available weapon of truth to clean his reputation and dignity that has been stained by a leaked “private FECAFOOT correspondent” directed at him.
In a communique, Clinton criticises the approach and says he always shared his room with team mate and friend Fai Collins, throughout the grouping in France.
He added that it might be a confusion or misunderstanding . It is not clear whether he will sue for damages, but many have criticised the FECAFOOT following the leakage of the “PRIVATE DOCUMENT ”
It should be noted that the International soccer player Clinton Njie has been officially queried for hosting two ladies in his hotel room prior to a friendly against Burkina Faso.
In a query letter signed by the Secretary General of FECAFOOT, Martin Etonge, is accused of late arrival in camp, on the 25 rather than the 24 of May, without any justification.
The Cameroun Football governing body FECAFOOT could dismiss Clinton Njie if there is enough evidence that the two girls created nuisance and were expelled by the hotel officials.
Clinton Njie has now been summoned to provide an explanation within the next eight days or face severe disciplinary sanctions from FECAFOOT.
Clinton Njie (born 15 August 1993) is a Cameroonian professional footballer who currently plays for Marseille in Ligue 1 and the Cameroon national team . He spent most of his career in Ligue 1 with Lyon and Marseille, with a brief spell at Tottenham Hotspur of the Premier League in between.
Njie made his senior international debut for Cameroon in 2014 and represented the nation at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015 and 2017 , winning the latter.
